Known as the Hollywood peel — a carbon mask draws impurities from the pores, then laser energy removes it along with dead skin and congestion. Instant brightness, zero downtime.
Congestion sits deep inside the pore, where a cleanser or scrub simply can’t get. That’s why oily, congested skin stays rough and dull no matter how thoroughly you wash it — you’re working on the surface while the problem sits below.
The carbon layer changes that. Applied as a liquid mask, it settles into each pore and binds to oil, dead cells, and debris. Laser energy is then drawn to the black carbon, vaporising it — and everything it has attached to — while gently heating the skin to tighten pores and stimulate collagen.
Our Treatment:
Clears Congestion at Depth: Carbon binds to oil and debris inside the pore, then lifts out with the laser pass.
Refines Pores and Oil: Heat tightens pore openings and reduces excess sebum production.
Brightens Immediately: Skin looks clearer and more even the moment the session ends.
Have oily, congested skin with blackheads or enlarged pores
Notice dullness and rough texture that cleansing hasn’t fixed
Want visible improvement with absolutely no downtime
Are preparing for an event and need skin looking its best now
Find chemical peels or needling too intense for your skin or schedule
(It’s a clarifying and brightening treatment rather than a corrective one — for indented scarring or deep lines, microneedling or resurfacing will do more.)
Skin is cleansed, then a liquid carbon mask is applied and left to settle into the pores for several minutes.
The Laser Pass
A 30-minute session in total. The laser passes across the skin, vaporising the carbon layer with a light snapping sound and a warm sensation. Most clients find it entirely comfortable.
The Results
Skin looks brighter and feels smoother immediately. Slight warmth or pinkness settles within an hour, and results build across a series of sessions.
A carbon laser peel at Geneva Med Spa is $350 per session, with a course of three at $900. Most clients treating congestion or oil see the best results from a series spaced two to four weeks apart.

Everything you’re wondering about the Hollywood peel, answered.
Why is it called the Hollywood peel?
It earned the nickname as a pre-red-carpet treatment — visible brightening with no peeling or downtime, so it can be done the day before an appearance.
Does it hurt?
No. Most clients describe warmth and a light snapping sensation as the laser passes. No numbing is needed and the session is short.
How many sessions do I need?
A single session works well for a pre-event glow. For ongoing oil and congestion control, a series of three spaced two to four weeks apart gives more lasting improvement.
Is there any downtime?
None. Slight warmth or pinkness may last up to an hour, then settles. You can wear makeup the same day and go straight back to normal activity.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Generally yes, though laser settings must be adjusted carefully. We assess your skin tone in person before treatment and will recommend an alternative if it isn’t the right fit.
What is the aftercare?
Use sunscreen daily and avoid retinol, acids, and harsh exfoliants for two to three days. Skip saunas and heavy sweating for 24 hours.
Join clients across Frisco who book this the day before every event. Tell us a bit about what you’d like, and we’ll get back to you with availability and next steps.
