One clinically proven system, several different technologies — so your treatment is matched to your skin rather than to whatever single device a clinic happens to own.
Most clinics buy one laser and fit every client to it. That works until someone arrives with a concern the device wasn’t built for — and the honest answer becomes “we’ll try it anyway.”
The Nordlys platform combines multiple technologies in a single system: selective waveband pulsed light for pigment and redness, a Nd:YAG laser for deeper vessels, and fractional resurfacing for texture. That range is what allows us to choose the right approach for your skin instead of the only one available.
What It Allows Us to Treat:
Redness and Vessels: Selective wavebands target haemoglobin for rosacea, flushing, and thread veins.
Pigment and Sun Damage: Filtered light breaks down brown spots and uneven tone across face, neck, and chest.
Texture and Fine Lines: Fractional resurfacing rebuilds collagen for smoother, firmer skin.
We examine your skin, identify whether your concern is colour, vessels, or texture, and check your skin tone for suitability. You'll know exactly which treatment we're recommending and why.
The Treatment
Session length and sensation depend on which application is used — from brief warm snaps with pulsed light to heat and prickling with fractional resurfacing. Full detail is covered on each treatment's own page.
The Plan
Most concerns need a short series rather than a single visit. We'll set out how many sessions and how far apart before you commit to anything.
Pricing depends on which treatment you’re having rather than the platform itself — IPL, vascular treatment, and fractional resurfacing are each priced separately, with package pricing available for courses.

Everything you’re wondering about the Nordlys platform, answered.
What is Nordlys?
It’s a multi-application laser and light platform by Candela, combining selective waveband pulsed light, an Nd:YAG laser, and fractional resurfacing in one system — so several different concerns can be treated with the appropriate technology.
Which treatment is right for me?
That depends on whether your concern is colour, vessels, or texture. Redness and pigment usually call for IPL; individual veins need targeted vascular treatment; texture and scarring need fractional resurfacing. We assess this in person.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
It depends entirely on which application is used. Light-based settings carry pigmentation risk on deeper phototypes, while other approaches are safer. We assess your skin tone before recommending anything, and have alternatives if light-based treatment isn’t appropriate.
Can more than one concern be treated in the same session?
Often, yes — that’s one of the practical advantages of a multi-application system. Whether it’s appropriate depends on your skin and how it responds, which we’ll discuss at consultation.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. Laser and light treatments are matched to skin tone, concern, and history, and a patch test is completed before treating a full area. This isn’t a formality — it’s what keeps treatment safe and effective.
That’s what the consultation is for. Tell us what’s bothering you, and we’ll tell you honestly which approach fits — or whether something else entirely would serve you better.
