Most people notice texture and lines first, but what actually makes skin read as tired is unevenness — patchy pigment, background redness, and a dull surface that scatters light instead of reflecting it. Brightening creams work slowly and only at the surface, and the deeper pigment stays put.
The Light & Bright treatment works across the whole face at once. Light energy is absorbed by excess pigment and dilated vessels, breaking them down so your body clears them — while the surrounding skin is left intact, which is why there’s no peeling afterwards.
Our Treatment:
Evens Overall Tone: Targets diffuse pigment and background redness that make skin look patchy.
Fades Sun Damage: Breaks down accumulated sun spots and freckling across the face and neck.
Restores Clarity: Skin reflects light more evenly, reading as brighter and better rested.
Notice uneven tone, sun damage, or freckling across the face or chest
Have background redness or a flushed appearance you’d like calmed
Want overall brightening rather than one specific spot treated
Have years of Texas sun exposure showing on the neck and décolleté
Want visible improvement without peeling or significant downtime
(Light-based treatment carries pigmentation risk on deeper skin tones. We assess your skin in person and will recommend an alternative if it isn’t the right fit.)
We assess your skin tone, the type of pigmentation present, and how much redness there is, then set the parameters accordingly. Photos are taken so progress is measurable.
The Treatment
A 30–45 minute session depending on the area. You'll feel brief warm snaps as pulses pass across the skin — most clients find it easily tolerable without numbing.
The Results
Skin looks slightly flushed for a few hours. Pigment darkens before flaking away over the following week, with tone continuing to even out across a series of sessions.
A Light & Bright treatment at Geneva Med Spa is $1,200 per session, with a course of three at $3,300. Most clients treating accumulated sun damage see the best results from a series spaced four weeks apart.

How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need three, spaced about four weeks apart. Long-accumulated sun damage generally takes more sessions than recent discolouration.
Does it hurt?
You’ll feel brief warm snaps as each pulse passes — most clients describe it as easily tolerable and no numbing is usually needed. A cooling system runs throughout.
What's the downtime?
Minimal. Expect mild flushing for a few hours, and treated pigment to darken before flaking away over the following week. Most clients return to normal activity immediately.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Light-based treatments carry a higher risk of pigmentation change on deeper phototypes, so this is assessed in person. If it isn’t suitable, we’ll recommend a treatment that is — several alternatives work well on darker skin.
Will the pigmentation come back?
Treated pigment is cleared, but new sun damage will form with further exposure. Daily sunscreen is what protects your result — most clients maintain with a session once a year.
What is the aftercare?
Use sunscreen daily without exception, let flaking pigment shed on its own without picking, and avoid retinol, acids, and heat exposure for a week.
